After an awful week last week – my sleeping issues peaked a bit and there were tears, but then it was the weekend

Normally we have lots planned; minute by minute is accounted for, but other than a driving lesson for me on Saturday that was all that was on our itinerary. Driving lesson was good (excluding the stalling 5 times in less than a minute, oops).

We popped round a friends for some beers late afternoon whilst Smalls was at a beach party (First Born was away all weekend), it was lovely to sit in the garden for an hour or so catching up.

To wake up without a little hangover on Sunday was a good start to the day and we went into town and did a bit of shopping – all for the business of course, some new yellow plimsolls are essential for all the walking I do. And in the afternoon we went and met some friends to watch the red arrows that were flying over Goodwood. I am afraid we didn’t pick a great spot to watch them but was actually nice to just be out together, even got Smalls to put her phone down and have some fun.

And now it is Monday and I feel refreshed and can handle the week ahead. If it is kind to me.
