Looking at all the snowy pictures from New York (I follow alot of celebrities on instagram and they all seem to currently be in NYC) and as everyone knows I am not a fan of the cold weather; but it does look beautiful and so much better than the dreary grey rain that we seem to have been enduring in the south of England for what seems like months and months. And yep there were a few lovely sunny, slightly freezing, days last week but now back to the wet stuff, and for someone who walks up and down the road in it several times a day, it can kind of get to you.
All the rain did however give me an idea for a theme. Umbrellas.
More specifically, we made some umbrella pictures:
First I spent (quite some time) cutting out teeny tiny umbrellas, which the children decorated.
They then arranged them however they wanted (I tried not to interfere – so very difficult) and I put them into a little frame and we had ourselves some little umbrella collages.
We also made some umbrella pictures out of paper plates, straws and tissue paper.
But what I really want to do is get on with some Spring activities!!!
