Pre-Golden Boy I used to put a lot of thought into what I was going to wear on a night out; but now very few of my dresses fit me anymore so I just stick on some jeans and a nice ‘loose’ top. We are out this Saturday to a charity night held by some close friends – more on that later – and I really want to wear something pretty and have some fun. I have had several parcels delivered – oh I do love online shopping, but nothing is right, or it might be right but I just think everything looks rubbish on me. Oh what to do, first I need to choose, do I stick to my recent uniform of skinny jeans, pretty top and some heels:

I don’t own any of these but if I had the money…

  1. Jason Wu Stretch-crepe halterneck top
  2. Marchesa Embellished tulle and silk-chiffon blouse
  3. Isa Arfen Color-block stretch-cotton poplin peplum top
  4. Proenza Schouler Off-the-shoulder pussy-bow crepe blouse

5. Sophia Webster Flamingo Frill leather, satin and suede sandals

6. Miu Miu Embellished patent-leather platform sandals

7.  Tom Ford Leather pumps

My old uniform for going out was always a cute little dress, which I still do love, but I feel a little bit thick around the middle for them, bummer. But if I could, these are really pretty:

8. REDValentino Crochet-trimmed cotton-voile mini dress

9.  Elie Saab Cotton-blend guipure lace mini dress

10. MICHAEL Michael Kors Pointelle-paneled stretch-jersey dress

11. Alexander McQueen Stretch pointelle-knit dress

Or I do love a long pretty dress, I own a few but I always feel a bit of a fraud when I put them on, they don’t seem very me, a bit grown up and extravagant, but if I could I would wear:

12. KENZO Belted silk-satin maxi dress

13. Needle & Thread Voluminous Tulle Embellished Maxi Dress at ASOS

14. Eliza J Halter neck maxi dress
