So now to catch up on last couple of weeks. What have we been up to??
Golden Boy has been working on his motor skills with scissors
He also managed to cut a small chunk of my hair when I wasn’t looking, luckily the only casualty so far.
Last Saturday night was spent at our friends charity night for The Elizabeth Foundation, they worked so hard and did an amazing job, I of course drank to much (oh zambuca you really do get me in trouble) talked jibberish to everyone and have quite a fuzzy memory of the night, but I do remember Eel Fish Parsley, I am not much of an Elvis Presley fan but they were very good.
On Sunday my hungover self was dragged out into the fresh air, and actually we had a lovely walk in the woods.
After naptime – Golden Boy and myself, Biggy didn’t think I was refreshed enough so he dragged us out for a walk along the beach in the afternoon. The sun was out so a good excuse for some ice cream.
Golden Boy has an odd habit of pretending to fall asleep at any odd moment, like on the walk along the seafront.
Last week was pretty same old same old, lots of children, school runs, nursery runs, entertaining children, or at least trying to, driving to different supermarkets spending money I really shouldn’t. But we did visit Golden Boys Great Aunt; which was quite entertaining, watching them chat to each other at the same time as not listening to each other or really understanding what each other were saying.
This weekend was a quiet one. Yesterday morning we went for a walk around Pagham Harbour, and it was bloody freezing.
oh teenagers and their phones.
Refreshment break; I needed a hot chocolate to warm me up and Golden Boy managed to not decorate the table with regurgitated milkshake this time.
This morning we went for another freezing walk – I mean seriously I have really had enough, give me a break I am not going out any more if I have to wear my thermal top and a woolly hat, that is it until October, I am done, I will be in front of the telly whilst you have your fresh air and exercise…
Golden Boy has a lovely pair of orange plastic binoculars that he keeps bringing out with him to look for birds, not that he can really see much through them, especially as he uses them the wrong way round. But he does know best…
And thankfully this afternoon we spent some time not cowering against the wind somewhere but nice and snug in the cinema eating chocolate and watching Zootropolis, not necessarily our kind of film but Golden Boy enjoyed it in between fidgeting and announcing quite loudly that his bottom had popped.
