Last week was a busy week full of celebrations as Golden Boy turned 4 and I turned 40, and it was fun!
I started last week with my Bestie sending me a cryptic message requesting me to meet her at Barnham station, when I got there she had arranged for us and a couple of other friends to have a day out in London.
At the station:
It was a chilly and slightly snowy day and we walked miles, and it was brilliant.
We started the day looking in all the posh shops – Fortnum and Mason, Libertys and Selfridges. I love it, I just wish I had lots of money…
Whilst at Selfridges we stopped for some nibbles and bubbles.
That was really special.
After more excercise and browsing my next surprise was afternoon tea (and wine) at the Hilton. It was so yum and perfect!
And then there was the cakes – someone looked like she didn’t want to share 🙂
Afterwards we were feeling pretty stuffed and a little tipsy, but my day wasn’t over as Bestie had booked us a table at Bar Soho for us to finish off an amazing day drinking cocktails. I could not have been happier.
On Sunday I was feeling a little weary and maybe a little hungover but we went out for some fresh air and met Bestie and her family, we were supposed to be having coffee and a cake in the local cafe and it was really busy. After a few minutes of sitting there some people started playing ‘the cups’ and singing and then more people stood up and joined in, and then more and more and I was flash-mobbed! That is something I am never going to forget.
Then it was time for Golden Boys birthday, and he got spoilt rotten – as he deserved.
There was even an appearance of a Smalls
My birthday celebrations continued throughout the week – there was a dinner at Wahaca, and a group of us spent Saturday night in a club dancing away with people probably half our age – I had so much fun. And I got so many goodies: smellies, jewellery, lots of bottles of bubbly, and Ipad Air 2, Lady Gaga tickets and a crapload of flowers, I have never been so spoilt – can’t wait for next year!
