Hey I’M BACK!
So I broke my blog. I thought I would try and make this little blog look better; found this cute theme I liked with a 2 hour youtube video instructing me how to set it up, it looked easy, what could go wrong? Not much, except I messed up somewhere, I am not sure where I went wrong but it all completely buggered up, it was all very stressful, I couldn’t work out how to fix it, so I walked away, buried my head in the sand and said oh well thats that then.
Then I tried again, I swapped it for a simpler theme, it isn’t really what I want it to look like – I am not a fan of brown! and I am really not sure how to use it so I will continue to tweak, so maybe I will break it again, actually that is more than likely, but it seems to be useable at the mo so hi, what have you been up to?
May has been a good month; Golden Boy and I have been having a few adventures, trying to go further afield with my driving – I have attempted a little motorway driving; why is everyone in such a hurry! and I really struggle to change lanes when we are all going so fast and all the cars are so close together, I am at real risk of just driving in the same lane forever… Speaking of driving, First Born passed his test last week, I am very proud of him and slightly terrified of the thought of my child on the roads
So what else have we done…? Biggy had a day off we took Golden Boy, and one of my mindees to Drusillas Park – the day didn’t start well when my little mindee puked everywhere within 10 minutes of the drive (his parents forgot to mention he gets carsick) so we had aroma of regurgitated eggs to keep us company, but then he was fine, the weather was lovely, there was hardly anyone else in the park with us and the boys loved it – Golden Boys face was a picture when he saw Thomas the Tank Engine and some of his buddies.
We spent a lovely afternoon crabbing the other day – why had we not done it before! So much fun, I think Biggy and I enjoyed it more than Smalls, we caught about 12 of the little monsters, a couple of them not so little… My fave bit was when one had escaped unnoticed out of the bucket and as it scuttled past Biggies foot he made a very girl-like squeal.
We have a question though, how, when I tipped the bucket up to release them, did they all automatically know the right direction to run back into the sea!?
We took the kids for a walk in the woods and a picnic – was a bit of a shock to the system for Smalls to get out in the fresh air, she would much prefer to be lying on her bed watching Netflix, but her and her friend had a lovely time, trying to find the biggest stick, and then breaking them – destructive teenagers! The woods do look lovely now with all the leaves. We just need more sunshine. And some heat would be nice!
And we took Great Aunt out for a McFlurry.
