It has been a fairly quiet couple of weeks, just pottering around, playing with kids, avoiding housework, and have managed to get through 2 seasons of ER, have really fallen back in love with that show!

We went and saw Independence Day – Resurgence, hmmm not so impressed, I didn’t hate it but it wasn’t as good as the first one.

I have attempted a little baking.

This wasn’t such a success, just made a vanilla sponge – came out very thin, then I made a chocolate filling – the top sponge slid right off…

I did make a more successful lemon cake.

But enough of the boring stuff. Smalls and I went and saw Beyonce at Wembley Stadium!!! And it was bloody brilliant. Thank you Biggy, thank you for the tickets, thank you for taking us – which entailed over 3 hours of traffic  – and thank you for bringing us home again, so a very late night on a work night.

It was Smalls first concert and my first at Wembley Stadium.

And she was sooooo good, so beautiful, amazing dancing – no-one can strut across a stage quite like that woman, and lots and lots of hair flipping. And her voice, it was faultless, so powerful.

Beyonce

This was her singing ‘All Night’ from her new album and it was one of my favourite moments.

There was of course some seriously stunning costume changes, all leotards – different colours from black, white, red and different shades of gold – with all sorts of seriously fancy structured shoulders and necklines and long legs on display.

Here she is sitting down, belting out some slowys.

This is her standing on a crate singing a slow rendition of ‘Crazy in Love’, in a red rubber leotard…

And some sparkly eyes.

I know the pics aren’t great, but it is my proof and memories that I saw Beyonce, and I am proud.
