Time for some festive crafts to keep the kids happy. I started the week with some pasta and glue to make a wreath.
I started by spending some time on Sunday dying a huge amount of pasta green with some food colouring, I might have gone a bit over the top with it as I still have a couple of tub fulls left over…
Then whilst while the children were at school I cut out some cardboard hoops and stuck a few together to make them stable, and then with my little helper we painted them a festive red.
Once the kids were home and after much bickering about picking coats and bags up and demanding entertainment they were given the hoops and pasta, some glue and some shiny bows and left to decorate their wreaths.
It worked well, they seemed to enjoy themselves, I got all interfering at some points “advising” them to put more pasta on – well come on there was so much of it, but it kept them busy for at least 10 mins.
I may need some stronger glue next time as the children were rapidly losing pasta up the garden path as they were leaving. Oops.
